about

I’ve been playing with John Flanagan a lot this year since I first met him at the 2014 Kangaroo Valley Folk Festival. That was a fine chance meeting, despite my drunken enthusiasm and I’ve grown to love his songwriting, musical sensitivity and gorgeous, soaring voice. This was another FAWM song that was waiting to be picked up and held for a bit. A song of letting go.

lyrics

Someday Maybe

Someday
maybe
All the ducks will line up in a row

Someday
maybe
We'll storm the theatre, really start this show

But not today
Clumsy fingers let the moments slip away
I'll let a thousand stupid things stand in the way
Of someday

Someday
Maybe
Mirror, show me more than getting old

Someday
Maybe, I'll write a
farewell song for moonbeams I can't hold
